Team & roles
Roles and permissions
Pontiq uses a permission system where roles are bundles of individual rights. For everyday work it is enough to know the four roles.
The four roles
Owner
Full control over the organization: plans and billing, connections, team, all orders and settings. Every lab has at least one owner.
Admin
Like owner, but without access to billing and plan management. Typical for lab management: manage the team, set up connections, maintain templates.
Technician
The daily workhorse: accept cases, work on orders, check off steps, generate documents, upload and download files. No access to team management, connections or billing.
Viewer
Read-only: view orders and production, change nothing. Useful for temporary staff, apprentices in their first weeks, or external partners with insight.

Enforced server-side
Permissions are always checked on the server — not just in the interface. Even technically savvy users cannot change data without the appropriate role.
