Portal credentials means: under Settings → Connections you link your lab’s manufacturer portal account. Pontiq then pulls new cases into your inbox. This is not a manufacturer partnership or endorsement; retrieval runs on your lab’s instruction (best effort). The Free plan does not include portal connections — Free includes Medit Link, Demo, manual upload and email intake.
Manual import — always works
Independent of any cloud, you can create cases manually at any time:
- Choose New case in the inbox.
- Upload scan files (STL/PLY) and attachments via drag-and-drop.
- Enter practice, patient and order data — or let the AI extract them from an attached order note (Starter+).
Email intake
Every lab gets its own intake email address. Practices can simply send orders with attachments there; Pontiq automatically creates a case in the inbox. This is the easiest path for practices without a scanner cloud.
Note: even without a cloud connection, manual import and email intake let you run your complete workflow in Pontiq today.
