Overage cases and add-ons
Classic lab software forces you to estimate your monthly volume in advance — and in slow months you pay for air. Pontiq does it differently: overage cases are optional, transparent and only billed if you enable them.
How overage cases work
- Your plan includes a monthly quota (e.g. 500 cases on Pro).
- Under Settings → Plan you decide whether overage cases are allowed beyond the quota. They are off by default — so unwanted costs can never occur.
- With overage enabled, every additional accepted case is billed individually:

An example: a Pro lab with 620 cases in a month pays 169 EUR + 120 × 0.29 EUR = 203.80 EUR — instead of being forced into a pricier volume tier it doesn't need in quiet months.
Available add-ons
- Extra user — 12 EUR per user per month. Extends Starter and Pro without a plan change.
- AI pack — +500 AI credits per month for 29 EUR. For labs that use summaries, extraction and voice feature heavily.
- Unlimited archive — 19 EUR per month. Removes the scan file retention limit; everything stays available forever.
Add-ons can be added and cancelled monthly.
Keeping an eye on your quota
Under Settings → Plan you always see the current monthly usage: accepted cases, active users, AI credits. At 80% and 100% of the quota Pontiq notifies the owners automatically.
