Production planning with templates and steps

Most work in a dental lab follows recurring routines. Pontiq models them with templates so you don't plan every order from scratch.

Creating templates

Under Templates you define the production steps per work type, e.g. for a monolithic crown:

1. Prepare model / verify dataset
2. CAD design
3. Nesting & milling
4. Sintering
5. Layering / finish
6. Quality control

Every step can have a default duration and a default assignment (person or role). When accepting a case, the AI can suggest suitable templates — based on work type and order notes.

Steps inside the order

When you accept a case, you pick the template; Pontiq creates the order's step list from it. Steps can be added, reordered or skipped at any time — the template is a starting point, not a corset.

The team board

The team board shows all open steps grouped by team member. Everyone sees immediately:

• Which steps are due today (sorted by the order's due date)
• What is blocked because a previous step is open
• What colleagues are currently working on

Finished steps are checked off; order progress updates for everyone in real time.

Deadlines at a glance

The production view sorts orders by due date and clearly highlights tight deadlines. In one minute each morning you see which work needs priority today.
