Desktop Agent & Exocad

Install & pair the agent

Pontiq Agent is a small companion for Windows, macOS and Linux. It runs in the tray and opens cases from the web app in Exocad (Windows) or your local sync folder.

Download

  1. Open Desktop Agent or in the app Settings → Desktop Agent.
  2. Download the installer for your OS.
  3. Install the agent (Windows: NSIS, macOS: DMG, Linux: AppImage/DEB).

On first launch Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper may warn you — expected until binaries are code-signed. Choose “Run anyway” / “Open”.

Pairing

The agent is always bound to you as an employee. You only sync orders you are allowed to see in the web app.

  1. In the web app: Settings → Desktop Agent → Create code.
  2. Enter the code in the agent — or open the pontiq://pair?... deep link.
  3. The agent connects via WebSocket and shows “Connected”.

Agent settings

  • Sync folder: default Documents/Pontiq/Cases
  • Exocad path (Windows): auto-detected or pick manually
  • Launch at login: recommended
  • Auto-sync: optional — new visible orders are stored locally

Unpair

In the web app revoke the device, or choose “Unpair” in the agent.
